Between Continents and Callings.
Thanks for being here
I’m Joseph, a doctor who loves his work — but also loves the world beyond it. Over time, I realised I didn’t have to choose between the two.

With strong Indian roots and now based in England, I’ve grown up between cultures. My first international trip was to Spain, to watch my favourite club, Barcelona, play. But somewhere along the way, it wasn’t the football that stayed with me — it was the journey itself. Since then, travel has never felt optional.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to visit more than 100 countries across every continent — all while continuing to practise medicine and care for my patients. Travel didn’t replace my career; it simply expanded my perspective and deepened my appreciation for the life I was building.
Dr Vagabond is where I share how I design freedom into my life: through structured, independent, and efficient travel. Here you’ll find practical itineraries, mindset principles, and insights on how to travel smarter — without wasting time, energy, or opportunity.
I write primarily as a solo traveller.
Sometimes, I also write through a doctor’s lens — attentive to health, risk, and perspective.
And moving through the world between cultures shapes the way I experience it.
For me, travel is not just movement — it’s perspective. If you’ve ever felt the pull to see more of the world but weren’t sure how it fits alongside a serious career, I understand. This space is my attempt to show that the two don’t compete — they can strengthen each other.
Welcome to structured freedom.
